Keywon Harvey

My name is Mr. Keywon Harvey, a native of Macon, Ga and proud product of "THE" Bibb County School District. I have been in education for fifteen years. I received my bachelor's degree from Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC, my master's degree in education leadership Tier 1 from Georgia College & State University, and in September 2023 I will have my Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University all while completing my pathway of pursuing my Ed.D in Curriculum & Instruction from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.

I've taught Special Education, Reading 180, and Algebra 1 as a classroom teacher. This is my third year as an administrator in BCSD. I am elated to be a part of the Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School family. I am a member and board representative for the Urban CEO Leadership Academy (Macon, Ga), a board member for Teens 2 Queens, Incorporated, and a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. I was named Central High School 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year and a Top 5 Finalist for District Teacher of the Year. I have two beautiful sisters and a handsome nephew that I enjoy spending time with on the weekends. I enjoy listening to music, shopping, reading, mentoring the future, and being an advocate for change in the city of Macon.

My motto in life is: Every child can learn no matter the circumstances if they have one educator to believe in them.
